As Long As You're Still Breathing

Image
With each passing moments becoming part of the past, You begin to wonder how in everyday we experience unidentified moments, While some moments are nice even nicer but hardly lasts, I do believe in savoring completely with some brand new components. There comes a time when everything just seem wrong, In the end such moments are all we’ve got, Reminiscing about them makes us feel strong, In the end you will be glad you fought. A cliché story to which I believe is true, Is that magic moments go unrecognized, Often times we try to push through, We all got that feeling we can’t leave unreconciled. So live in the moments with your heart blown away, As long as you're still breathing worry about tomorrow, Whatever happens today will fade someday, Time they say heals all sorrows.                                    Saefhenryosas

WORLDS APART

Image
Permit me to sound offensive This isn't a romance series Permit me to resurrect your senses Murdered and buries in concocted theories Senses flushed in miscarriage promises Of lie tales and super stories Under southern rain and sun in Kano They boarded flights and paddled canoe Crawling, begging, crying for votes Raining down promises and bank notes Now our phone calls are but a taboo The best thieves wear tie not tattoo "One Nigeria", their chorus of lies Singing fake love with tongues of disguise Quarantining us to the ebola world Building bulletproof gate and two-edged sword "Beware of dogs" and their muscular guards Beware of economy and time so hard The obsessive consumption of greed for wealth, While the poor cannot even afford good health, Is the same reason we buy things we don't treasure, Just to ride on the poor with all pleasure, Deep down we know we are in sorrow, What then is the hope for a better tomorrow? We are inches away from each other

STRUGGLE

Image
STRUGGLE We can’t seem to decipher our unexplained feelings, Leaving us to wonder what the other is thinking, Some of which are burned on our ceilings,                                                      Then again expressed on our drinking, We struggle, fight it and try to be strong, Hit the road, found sweetness in the comfort of our song. We hide behind our emotions hoping to let go, Always keeping the truth locked away, Behind all of our doubt and ego, Lies so much said in the things we don’t say, Then my eyes would light up when you smile, And we both laugh to relieve our hearts in a friendly style. Just for today we decided to ignore rights or wrongs, Now once upon a time has never felt more right, To feel safe, warm and talk about songs, can I get away again tonight? Apparently it was something we both wished for, If I could hold you just one hour more.            saefhenryosas

LIVE FOR TWO

LIVE FOR TWO At the bus stop it all started Ojuelegba! Ojuelegba! Ojuelegba!!! The conductor's song of daily bread Though with no butter to spread Sitting by each other, they conversed and laughed Digits on demand lived on each's phone "Have a nice day" They parted with a smile As the rain drove lovers off the bay Down the bedroom, Down the aisle On the eve of the next day They lived in the virtual world Out of earth they travelled Questions asked, some answered Others left for the maker Seconds gave birth to minutes Minutes suckled into hours Hours crawled into days They built a castle of their love story As the day grew by, they dwell in it Their love they built in isolation Away from hate and tearful erosion Away from pain and sadness Away as far as the wilderness But stormy winds blew their love castle Though made of concrete, still bowed to the storm

CEMETERY OF INVENTION

Image
He made a house that could fly without fin Accused and banished for midday witchcraft Sold to white traders in exchange for gin Traders who exploited and drank of his craft His talent they hoarded His brain they melt With his knowledge they boarded a flight to wealth Sucked him dry and abandoned him with poor health Evicted and deposited him with acrimony He returned an empty vessel, like Thin Tall Tony Our art galleries are cemetery of invention Where talents are hoarded and put on detention Creativity appreciated based on connection Mountains of promises put on erection Talent fall sick for lack of attention Creativity dies of dejection and rejection Welcome to the cemetery of invention Where we buried talents that surrendered castration Oh, creative mind of an African child Like raw gold deposited in the wild With giant security and iron gate Locking opportunity with barb wire and snakes Talent we abandoned to compete Bill Gat

WORLDS APART

WORLD'S APART we lie to ourselves and say that we are one, we are not. Regardless of our status or who We think we are, we all have a part to play in the current predicament of our nation. we are all guilty! Supposing possible possibilities impose impositions that transit transitions into probabilities which in turn breaks boundaries of inequities, should we still be regarded as one? Left to me i think multiplicity and diversity will demand so much that we would be forced to comply with evident variety. racism, ethnicity, tribalism, these things has eaten deep like a canker worm in our society today. Now you hear people say ''everybody eye don dey clear nowadays'', ''everybody don dey too sharp'' we no longer have the middle class, what we have is the poor, the bourgeoisie and the rich. The rich disguise their sins of greed by debating philosophies to justify their economies, their human interactions, their consumer behaviors and so on. know

Righteous Side Of Hell

Image
Darkness everywhere, I see celebrities and heroes here, No one seem to be adoring them, Rather they lament and all condemn, Asked the ugly looking Angel why, Thus he made his reply, Would you love to join them? You're a hero as well,COME! In here you are accepted, For you've been rejected as expected, You're just a sinner with a soul, I'll make thou whole smoothly after every roll, It has always been yours to sell, To decide which is heaven or hell, But it's not your choice to make now, Hell's gonna love you, COME! You were a politician, With an intellectual vision, You killed for peace, And killed the peace, You stole from the poor, In your defence 'for the poor', Well you're still guilty and filthy, I command you, COME! Where the hell am I? This time he smiled and answered, You are on the Wrong Side Of Heaven, The Righteous Side Of Hell. WELCOME!                             Saefhenryosas
