STRUGGLE
We can’t seem to decipher our unexplained feelings,
Leaving us to wonder what the other is thinking,
Some of which are burned on our ceilings,
                                                     Then again expressed on our drinking,
We struggle, fight it and try to be strong,
Hit the road, found sweetness in the comfort of our song.

We hide behind our emotions hoping to let go,
Always keeping the truth locked away,
Behind all of our doubt and ego,
Lies so much said in the things we don’t say,
Then my eyes would light up when you smile,
And we both laugh to relieve our hearts in a friendly style.

Just for today we decided to ignore rights or wrongs,
Now once upon a time has never felt more right,
To feel safe, warm and talk about songs,
can I get away again tonight?
Apparently it was something we both wished for,
If I could hold you just one hour more.

The youths are not the leaders of tomorrow, I believe everyone is in consensus with that now, All I see in tomorrow is a constant cloud of sorrow, That paints itself black to imitate her brow. When wars and conflicts totally cease, In our world, there shall be peace. People must learn to get along, Not blame others, for being wrong. They fight for control, fight for land, Some just need a helping hand. We must rid ourselves of vanity, And embrace peace, through humanity.
