Tell Freedom (The Black Souls)

Sanity was dressed in filth And nobody recognized her. The long days and warm nights Sped along, chased one another, And were lost in time. And time, Men, and something within us Conspired against us and our innocence. The gloom of the land rushed on to meet us. Suddenly four white lads were about us. "I'll have these ones, " a cucumber-headed lad said. "What's the matter?" We asked. "You're going to fight us," he said. "We fight fair," another said. "We don't want to fight," We said. "You'll fight!" said cucumber -head. Why?" "We want to kill you!" "What have we done," We cried "You're black," the third lad said. "Ready! "For this much all men know: Despite compromise, War, struggle, the Negro is not free”. The Negro is not free For we sow while others reap The golden increment of bursting fruit, Not always countenance, ab

While being forcefully driven to Kaya I pulled out a bante, Tried to take control of the vehicle And was shot in the attempt. Why Because I refused to stay silent In the face of Tyranny, Injustice, Anarchy, And Dictatorship. Their remarks : A violent man meets a violent end ; The dramatist they say over dramatizes Himself once too often. And yet, I was an innocent man Fighting for survival and sanity. For in desperate times One resorts to desperate measures. For all those who fought, died for the Freedom and Liberty we enjoy today.. PA SHAKESPEARE
A MELANCHOLY SONG

It's the month of her birth but she cannot feel glad, April; you are a melancholy song, Beautiful month but for some reasons she’s sad, Hiding her heart tho she’s ever strong. Trying to dig deep to what she feels inside, Her small ears had lost the feel of an angelic kiss, Gently she tucked herself away beside, Like only those who know how to control their emotions believe in bliss. Trapped in a strong complicated mental state to clear it, In the most abnormal way she lets out a cry, Saef comes along to lighten her spirit, Then she takes lots of vodka till she gets high. About her health she’s scared again, Plus she misses him and nothing helps, When you need help understanding, I’ll train you not to let out a yelp. Saefhenryosas
As Long As You're Still Breathing

With each passing moments becoming part of the past, You begin to wonder how in everyday we experience unidentified moments, While some moments are nice even nicer but hardly lasts, I do believe in savoring completely with some brand new components. There comes a time when everything just seem wrong, In the end such moments are all we’ve got, Reminiscing about them makes us feel strong, In the end you will be glad you fought. A cliché story to which I believe is true, Is that magic moments go unrecognized, Often times we try to push through, We all got that feeling we can’t leave unreconciled. So live in the moments with your heart blown away, As long as you're still breathing worry about tomorrow, Whatever happens today will fade someday, Time they say heals all sorrows. Saefhenryosas
WORLDS APART

Permit me to sound offensive This isn't a romance series Permit me to resurrect your senses Murdered and buries in concocted theories Senses flushed in miscarriage promises Of lie tales and super stories Under southern rain and sun in Kano They boarded flights and paddled canoe Crawling, begging, crying for votes Raining down promises and bank notes Now our phone calls are but a taboo The best thieves wear tie not tattoo "One Nigeria", their chorus of lies Singing fake love with tongues of disguise Quarantining us to the ebola world Building bulletproof gate and two-edged sword "Beware of dogs" and their muscular guards Beware of economy and time so hard The obsessive consumption of greed for wealth, While the poor cannot even afford good health, Is the same reason we buy things we don't treasure, Just to ride on the poor with all pleasure, Deep down we know we are in sorrow, What then is the hope for a better tomorrow? We are inches away from each other
STRUGGLE

STRUGGLE We can’t seem to decipher our unexplained feelings, Leaving us to wonder what the other is thinking, Some of which are burned on our ceilings, Then again expressed on our drinking, We struggle, fight it and try to be strong, Hit the road, found sweetness in the comfort of our song. We hide behind our emotions hoping to let go, Always keeping the truth locked away, Behind all of our doubt and ego, Lies so much said in the things we don’t say, Then my eyes would light up when you smile, And we both laugh to relieve our hearts in a friendly style. Just for today we decided to ignore rights or wrongs, Now once upon a time has never felt more right, To feel safe, warm and talk about songs, can I get away again tonight? Apparently it was something we both wished for, If I could hold you just one hour more. saefhenryosas
LIVE FOR TWO

LIVE FOR TWO At the bus stop it all started Ojuelegba! Ojuelegba! Ojuelegba!!! The conductor's song of daily bread Though with no butter to spread Sitting by each other, they conversed and laughed Digits on demand lived on each's phone "Have a nice day" They parted with a smile As the rain drove lovers off the bay Down the bedroom, Down the aisle On the eve of the next day They lived in the virtual world Out of earth they travelled Questions asked, some answered Others left for the maker Seconds gave birth to minutes Minutes suckled into hours Hours crawled into days They built a castle of their love story As the day grew by, they dwell in it Their love they built in isolation Away from hate and tearful erosion Away from pain and sadness Away as far as the wilderness But stormy winds blew their love castle Though made of concrete, still bowed to the storm
