LIVE FOR TWO

STORY                                #LIVE_FOR_TWO (Script 2)                                   {A true life story}     Smith stood for minutes, staring at the tall building with the inscription ‘cafeteria’. He was confident that he could finally find solace for his ego that had earlier been washed by Emerald’s raining abuses during their bummer encounter days earlier. And perhaps, he could relate with people who unlike Emerald, still had respect and regard for him. Yes, Ukeme and Paul who had their attention buried in the sumptuously looking plate of fufu and melon soup they had before them. Smith quickly walked to the waitress, got a bottle of coke and joined their table.     “Guess what guys…. I’ve finally broken the jackpot” Ukeme raised his brow to Smith’s direction, with his eyes still fixed on the food. “Don’t tell me Bet9ja finally paid you” Paul gave out a sarcastic laugh that displayed yellowish particles of melon st

IF JESUS KEPT A JOURNAL

If Jesus Kept a Journal Jesus Christ, 15 AD Today was a good day. I sneaked away to the cave and lit a bush on fire so I could communicate with my father. I’m not sure why I even bother telling Him things because He already knows them… I guess I just like hearing his voice. Today I asked Him if it would be alright for me to start practicing my miracles… AND HE SAID YES!!! XD He says I need a lot of practice before I go taking it public because nobody would believe I’m the son of God if I screwed one up. Also, I’m pretty sure he wants to preserve his reputation… so I started practicing on sheep. It’s a good thing shepherds are already so far away from towns because if people witnessed what I was doing to these sheep PETA would be at my doorstep in a matter of days. For those of you who don’t know, PETA is an organization created by Satan for animals because he thinks it hilarious that they should have a place in heaven, too. HA HA SATAN, very funny… So my first m

PAINTING THE FUTURE

Today I went to the market. I had barely spent ten minutes in the scorching sun when I started grumbling within me, "This Nigeria self; see as the sun day hot!", "I wish I was born somewhere but Africa!", "If only I had my car now, I wouldn't be under this pre-hell As I was walking and murmuring, I saw a young man about the same age as myself. He didn't seem bothered by the sun at all. I watched with keen interest as he pushed a wheelbarrow full of loads which I probably wouldn't have been able to move with only half the load in it. He was sweating profusely and the sun had darkened his skin color in a highly unpleasant manner. Apparently he didn't seem to care about it at all. The most important thing on his mind was the little wage he would earn from that task. Not long after, I saw 5 little children who were beggars on the street. They were sharing an almost empty plate of rice of which I myself in my least hungry state would not take anythi

Evaluation of Business Opportunity in Nigeria

Image
Evaluation of Business Opportunities      in Nigeria. 1. PREPARE YOURSELF This approach is most appropriate when deciding on starting a business. When there are more than one possible business idea and one needs to decide which one to follow, you need to adequately prepare yourself. Running a business in Nigeria is tough but highly rewarding; so to survive, you have to be tougher. You must be able to answer the following questions; Am I familiar with the operations of this type of business? Does the business meet my income and investment goals? Does the business generate sufficient profits? Do you feel comfortable with the business? You can also prepare yourself by accepting the reality that you can fail tomorrow and deciding if the risk factor is acceptable as well finding out if there good growth projected for the overall industry of the business? You must be able to get the work done and do it right, so you will have satisfied customers. If you are going into the fas

The word of God is awesome

Image
The Word of God is awesome! It has all the power we will ever need for every situation in our lives (Heb. 4:12). All we have to do is mix it with faith and, praise God, a miracle (Heb. 4:2)! I know many of you are thinking, It isn’t that easy. I believe the Word and I’m doing everything I know to do, yet things still haven’t worked out. I have experienced that too—personally and with many people I’ve ministered to. So, what’s the problem? Actually, there are many problems, but I think most of them can be summed up by what Jesus said in Mark 7:13: “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition.” What a startling statement! Wrong teaching—specifically religious doctrines—makes God’s Word of no effect. The most significant revelations I’ve received from the Lord all have to do with renewing my mind from old ways of thinking that I learned in church. As I was freed from the traditions, the simplicity of God’s Word set me free. At a recent Gospel Truth Seminar, the Lo

The Selfie Obsession

Image
THE SELFIE OBSESSION WHAT IS A SELFIE? The oxford dictionary describes it as ‘’another word for self portrait photograph using a hand-held or phone camera’’. Recently, a selfie inclined friend was asking me if some of her selfie pictures were good; if she wasn’t looking too fat and all. Immediately I said ‘ you are not really photogenic but you are beautiful. Oyaaaa…….”face of JABU’’.  Realizing that she felt bad about my response, I quickly said, ‘’u know some people ain’t beautiful but r photogenic and vice versa’’ dat kain fnn naaa…u sef knw . infact ur own beta, me knw even sabi where I stand sef. Then she smiled again. Instagram is fast becoming the most popular selfie social media platform expecting likes, comments and all. All ova d world r selfie addicts. YES SELFIE ADDICTS! I v cin pple on several occasions taking a selfie by d road side, events, traffic, even while driving. However, m gonna focus on JABUITES especially the girls.  I knw a BCH student who spends most of her

A twisted view of marriage

Image
A TWISTED VIEW OF MARRIAGE People will see a man washing his clothes and instead of minding their business, they'll say "Ahh Oga Ejike,go and marry so you'll stop washing". They'll see a man cooking and be like "Bro Ade,you need to get married so you can stop cooking". A mother will look at his 35years old son who cannot wash his own boxers, boil water for tea or even make his own bed....a 35years old that cannot take his plates to the kitchen after eating and tell him "James, you need to settle down....get a woman to take care of you". In different ways, the society subconsciously tell men that they don't marry women for any reason other than cleaning, cooking and childbearing. I begin to wonder, does the average Nigerian man need a wife or a glorified maid? Many women look 3times their age because of stress and exhaustion. You sit down in front of the TV with your phone a d watch your wife work until she's about to pass out. Me

EVERY RIGHT THINKING NIGERIAN WILL TYPE: Thank you Mr Donald Trump, to this; . Thank you for not inviting them...you have saved us a great deal and if you don't know... You have saved us $1.5m of taxpayers money that Buhari would have used to land in the USA, mope around all day, smile and laugh, then sink in a deep cough and not hear a word; finally come back emptier than ever! . You have saved us N3b naira worth of billboards, banners and posters that Okorocha Rochas would have put up with slogans like,"The latest face of change" to deface Imo state and tell Imolites they are owing him N36b by 2019! . You have saved us over $1m that Aisha and Zara would have used just to come sit at the diplomatic stand, chew gums, snap Selfies and update profiles with "Fayose see me and Ivanka" and "Ivanka's complexion on my mind" . You have saved us over $1m, the cost of carrying Rotimi Amaechi, whose next newspaper headline on return would have been&q

Will you stay when the storm comes?

Image
Will you stay when the storm comes? So a story I heard inspired me to write this. A young man was dating a lady for like a year with the intention to marry her soon. He lost his job and the lady bailed immediately. She didn't even give him time to find another one. She left him in the middle of the storm with no support. She made it clear that their relationship was on the basis he had a good job and money at hand. So as I listened to the story, I was thinking if they had married and the guy lost his job. What would she have done? If you are planning to marry someone you should be able to help the person through certain storms, it is just a test of your true character. If you are the "no money no love type", you will get what you deserve eventually. If you are in a relationship with someone and the person adds no value to your life. It is an abusive and parasitic relationship. Most likely the person just likes you because of what you can offer at the moment,

Donald Trump first speech as president

Image
Donald Trump delivered his first speech as President of the United States on Friday morning. Trump was joined at the inauguration by members of his family, including his wife Melania Trump, and his children Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump and Barron Trump. Outgoing President Barack Obama, along with former Presidents George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter were also in attendance. Ahead of his speech, Trump aide Kellyanne Conway said the American people could expect Trump’s address to be a message to “unify the country.” “You’re going to hear a man of action, a man of resolve in what we all know to be a divided country,” Conway said Friday morning on CBS. Read the full transcript of his remarks below: [*] TRUMP: Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans and people of the world, thank you. (APPLAUSE) We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our cou
